DNA Test Results: Genotype of this dog is Normal. This dog will never develop CEA/CH

Tweeds first year of competition ended very well. After his promotion to the Open Class this year, he was placed for the semi final on Saturday June 23th, 2007. He reached the 9th place and with this result he became one of the 15 best dogs of the Netherlands who could run the Dutch National Double Gather Final!
It was the first time for Tweed and Ellen to run an official Double Gather Final. It was an impressive experience and they worked hard the whole heavy course. They reached the 8th place and we are very proud with this result!!

Tweed showed how he has grown in his training and a beautiful and challenging sheepdog career is waiting for him!

-----------------

In the beginning of 2006 Tweed came to our house. He was born in Ireland and learned the basics on a cow and sheepfarm. He ran in the top six of trials in Ireland and Scotland before he came to our place.
Tweed is a strong and very powerfull dog. He got a nice style and a very steady pace which makes even the fastest sheep calm. He runs out on any distance and is a keen shedder. He shows his will to please by very well listening.

Besides his work, Tweed is a very friendly and open dog.

Tweeds first pups were born in autumn 2006. They were all beautiful, longhaired, black and white pups. We kept one (named Tweed) and he is developing nice. He listens well and is very friendly and he got something
wise. At this moment he is too young to say something about his working ability. We expect a lot of this youngster.

Tweeds father is the famous populair Irish breeding dog, Wallace´s Tweed. This Tweed also appears in the pedigree of the recent Supreme
International Champion Bobby Dalziels Joe.

Tweeds mother is by another good breeding dog, McCulloughs Tweed (which is the son of John Griffiths Tweed, also the father of our own Roy). We are not wondering why our Tweed was named Tweed....................

When Tweed came to our place, we had a hard a time together. He felt that somebody else was in charge and he took his chance to work his own way.

After a few months we got used to each other and he had a very big will to please me. At that stage we entered the first novice trial. The result was fantastic because he won it with 90 points out of 100.

He developed well and the result of our first trial year was that he was one of the only two dogs out of 86 that promoted to the open class.

Tweed is hipscored and eyetested and available for breeding.
